This site collects as little as a website can. Here is exactly what that means.
This website
There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking scripts and no cookies set by us. The site is static files served from Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront and Amazon S3) in the European Union. Like any web server, AWS keeps standard access logs (your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent) for operating and securing the service. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.
If you write to hello@umbersea.com, we keep your message and our reply for as long as the conversation is useful, and we do not add you to any mailing list. Our mailbox is hosted by Fastmail.
Our products
Each product (for example Veloraine) has its own privacy notice on its own site, because each handles accounts and payments differently. This page covers umbersea.com only.
Your rights and who to ask
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland. Email hello@umbersea.com for any of these. The data controller is UmberSea, 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 XE80, Ireland.
